How to Find Time to Read/Read More

So you are a reader. You have so many books you want to read. But you feel like you don't have enough time to read, or you just can't find the time. You are also super picky when it comes to books and maybe haven't found a book you loved or at least liked in a long time. I've been there before, and this phenomenon still happens to me occasionally. But, I always find myself getting back into the groove of things.  Here are my tips on how to find time to read, or just read more books! Schedule a certain time during the day. At what time to you find you're more in the mood to read? The morning? The evening? For me, I find I am more in the mood to read between 10 am and 12 pm. So, I almost always read at or around 11 am. If you work or have a family to take care of, find a time where you are not working and have a break from the family, but have energy to read. You don't have to even read for a full hour. Even just 30 or 15 minutes is okay. Plan on how many chapt...

END OF THE YEAR BOOK TAG

I know it's not literally the end of the year, but the questions for this tag are more reading plans for the final months of the year (the fall and winter). So here are my questions! As always, feel free to do this tag if you see it. 1. Are there any books you've started this year that you need to finish?  As of writing this, Jane of Lantern Hill and The Last Cuentista .  2. Do you have an autumnal book to transition to the end of the year? The Trials of Morrigan Crow (Nevermoor #1) .  3.  Is there a new release you're still waiting for? Heartstopper Volume 5! 4. What are 3 books you want to read before the end of the year? Little Women, Braiding Sweetgrass , and Piranesi . 5. Is there a book you think will shock you and become a favorite?  Well, I've already read an excerpt of it, and I have a feeling I'll love Serafina and the Black Cloak!  6. Have you already started making reading plans for 2024? Yes and no. There are a ton of books that I have p...

Reading plans for the rest of the year

Now, I can't guarantee I will finish all of the series or get around to all of these books this year, but I will do whatever I can. I'm human too. I got a life outside of reading as well. I am also a huge mood reader. With that out of the way, here are the books and series I need to finish/start from this point on! Series:  Witch Hat Atelier -this manga series is still ongoing. When the next few volumes come out in English, I will read them. Talli: Daughter of the Moon -this manga-inspired graphic novel series is still ongoing. When the next few volumes come out in English, I'll read them.  The Mary series -written by the same women who wrote the Jane series. The first book is My Contrary Mary.  Spy x Family - this series is still going on but as of the making of this post I have only read volume 1. I need to read the rest of the volumes that are already out in English. Moomins series - I read the first three original books. As of the making of this post I have 6 left. Co...

BOOKS I DNF SO FAR/SERIES I WILL NOT BE CONTINUING

Uh oh, more unpopular opinions ahead. These are all the books I have DNF'd so far this year. For one reason or another. Either I found a book so boring and I just couldn't get into it, or maybe the story got so bad for me that I had to stop reading.  I also decided to add a list of series I won't be continuing. With those I did read the first book or the first few books, but for whatever reason(s) I lost interest in finishing out the series.  Since I DNF most of these books/series, there won't be any links to read about them, since I obviously never gave them a review.  Books I DNF: Anne of Windy Poplars by LM Montgomery You're Welcome Universe by Whitney Gardner Take me Home Tonight by Morgan Matson Monday is Not Coming by Tiffany Jackson Nancy Drew and the Secret of Red Gate Farm by Carolyn Keene Lunch Money by Andrew Clements American Panda by Gloria Chao The Case of the Missing Moonstone by Jordan Stratford Spinning by Tillie Walden Strawberry Girl by Lois Lensk...
