  Since it is a new year, I have decided to tell you all ahead of time what plans I have for this blog! Aside from doing spoiler free book reviews and tags, I have decided to start doing the following: Have some more posts that are not book related, aside from my art posts (that are now mostly on Instagram, if you haven't noticed). This can range from talking about cartoons to stories about my life. I know, it might seem weird since this is primarily a book blog, but I thought it would be a good way to get to know me better and change up the conversations once in a while. Besides, I have other hobbies aside from reading! I will not be making posts about marketing. When I first started this blog I said that I might make posts related to all things marketing, but I never did these past few months, and the desire dwindled over time. A popular book you have no interest in reading. Honestly I have so many answers for this one. To give you a single answer, I'm going to have to go with Sadie by Courtney Summers . I remember so many people hyping this book up when it came out a few years ago, and I'm just not interested because I am simply not a fan of murder mystery stories. I was also told the book deals with some other really heavy stuff I wouldn't be able to stomach. So yeah, no Sadie for me. 🤷 2. A classic book or author you have no interest in reading. Again, too many answers, despite being a classics lover, but this time I'll have to go with War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy . Did you know I also like to read manga?  Well, to be honest, I watch more anime than read manga. The last manga series I remember reading in it's entirety was Kitchen Princess back in middle school , which was more than a decade ago. For the last decade or so of my life I've only consumed manga-original stories through their anime adaptations. Sometimes the anime adaptations don't even cover the entire manga. They're more like advertisements to get you to go buy the manga (clever marketing, huh?) Additionally, there are probably hundreds of manga out there that have no anime adaptation attached to it. Go figure.  But I've decided to start reading actual manga again, and last week I finished the very first volume of  My Love Mix -Up by Wataru Hinekure.   In American marketing terms, this a YA contemporary romance manga series about three teenage friends (two guys and a girl, in this order): Aoki, Ida, and Hashimoto.
