  More series I attempted to read in the last few years that I don't care to finish.  Here's Part 1 in case you missed it! It was also yesterday's post.  1. The Spy x Family series by Tatsuya Endo. The story was cute at first but I got bored of it pretty fast.  2. The Heartstopper series by Alice Oseman. I did love the first four volumes but I didn't really vibe with volume 5. I even DNF'd it. There are other queer stories I am more interested in right now.  3.  The Molly Moon series by Georgia Byng.  I read the first book back in 2021 and I really like it! But then I read the second book in 2022 (before I started my blog) and didn't like it as much. It was disappointing. Again, don't care to read the rest.  4.  The Mr. Lemoncello series by Chris Grabenstein.  The same thing with the first Wayfarer's book, I though the first book was satisfying on its own. I bet the rest of the books are good, but I'm okay with just the first book....

Here are all the books I read in August with their respective links to their reviews, if applicable. Yeah, I've gotten kinda lazy to rewrite their summaries here. And some I didn't write summaries because they are sequels. 😂 I read a total of 12  books. Yeah, more than I usually read on average each month! But that's because some of these books were graphic novels/manga or thin middle grade books (almost novellas?) that I could finish within a day. So that meant more books were read.  What was your favorite/least favorite book you read in August? One Piece Volumes 2, 3, and 4 (3 books) - All 5 stars!   Middle School and Other Disasters: Worst Broommate Ever! by Wanda Coven is a middle grade book (first of a series) of a girl named Heidi Heckelbeck who starts middle school at a boarding school that secretly offers magic classes (casting spells and stuff like that, not magic tricks). Heidi herself comes from a long line of witches who attended the same boarding school. Heidi is nervous about starting middle school without her family nearby and her friends from elementary school, but when she arrives there, she ends up loving the campus. She also runs into an old friend of hers named Sunny, and also becomes friends with Sunny's roommate, Annabelle. Unfortunately, Heidi's roommate is a girl she always had a huge rivalry with since second grade: a girl named Melanie Maplethrope! Now she thinks middle school will be a nightmare, but then she learns she and Melanie have a lot more in common than they thought...and maybe they could become friends? Man, this book was so refreshing ...
