August Wrap Up

Y'know what time it is! I didn't read a lot this month but that's okay--quality over quantity y'all.   It's actually kind of hard to explain why I didn't like the original book version of Juliet Takes a Breath .

I've caught up with Shadows House!

It gets 5 stars from me. So glad that i got around to volume 10 of this series! Here we get to learn more about shadow Kate's origins and why she is so different than the other shadows in the mansion. This series needs more love! If you're a fan of Witch Hat Atelier, you'll love this series, too! They have somewhat similar vibes.

In volume 1 we follow one of the living dolls, Emilico, and her shadow noble, Kate. Living dolls serve shadow nobles, basically acting as their personal maids and butlers when they are not out and about. They often times have to clean up the soot their shadow noble emits.  Starting with volume 2 Emilico gets to meet and bond with other living dolls and learn about their shadow noble masters. There is so much she's never learned before, especially regarding the hierarchy shadow nobles and dolls have within the Shadow's House.  In volume 3 several shadow nobles and dolls are attempting to make their debut to s...
