Ranking Barbie Movies from the 2010s!

You can click here to view Part 1, where I rank the movies from the 2000s.

Here are my rankings for the animated Barbie movies from the 2010s. I am a lot more opinionated this time around.

Again, these are just my opinions!

20.  Barbie in her Sisters in a Puppy Chase- Y’all, this is my least favorite Barbie movie ever. Barbie was so out of character in this movie, and I didn’t like how she was constantly putting her and her sisters in danger.

19. Barbie: A Perfect Christmas- It was so melodramatic and boring.

18. Barbie: Spy Squad-pretty boring. Also, they weren’t even good at being spies for the majority of the movie!

17. Barbie: The Princess and the Popstar-the main characters were really annoying. It’s also just hard not to compare it to the Princess and the Pauper.

16. Barbie: Princess Power—pretty forgettable. The character designs and animation were also kind of wonky.

15. Barbie: Video Game Hero-it’s cool to see Barbie coding, and I like the different art styles and animations when she was in a different video game, but…I felt the movie had too much emphasis on Just Dance, making it feel like one big advertisement for that game.

14. Barbie and The Secret Door-not a bad story but I didn’t really like the villain! She was just an annoying brat.

13. Barbie in a Mermaid Tale 2-not a bad story but I felt it was an unnecessary sequel. I do love the theme song “Do the Mermaid” though!

12. Barbie and her Sisters in the Great Puppy Adventure-a solid treasure hunting story.

11. Barbie: Mariposa and the Fairy Princess-it was a good story but I didn’t like they way they handled the villain towards the end. Also, I think Chiara Zanni is a better voice for Mariposa.

10. Barbie: Dolphin Magic-solid story about protecting magical dolphins.

9. Barbie: Rock n’ Royals-good story about two rival camps becoming friends towards the end.

8. Barbie and her Sisters in a Pony Tale-basic story but it’s like comfort food—you know what’s coming next and it will make you happy.

7. Barbie: Starlight Adventure-such a cool movie! Barbie can do sci-fi really well.

6. Barbie in a Fairy Secret-I like how Barbie and Racquelle became friends here.

5.  Barbie and the Pink Shoes-c’mon, it’s about ballet. One of my other special interests.

4. Barbie in A Fashion Fairytale-fashion and magic go really well together!

3. Barbie: Princess Charm School-surprisingly complex (in a good way!) than the other ones on this list. Plus Portia is hilarious.

2. Barbie in a Mermaid Tale-has all the elements of a classic Barbie movie.

1. Barbie as The Pearl Princess-Very moving and whimsical!
