  OMG! I think I found my true favorite Sharon Creech book of all time! Bloomability is now at the number two spot. The Wanderer is about thirteen year old Sophie, who goes on a sailing trip with her two cousins and three uncles across the Atlantic Ocean to meet her grandfather, Bompie, in England. They make a lot of pit stops along the way to get their boat fixed and to pick up more supplies. Sophie and her cousins also learn a lot along the way: about sailing, stories about each other, their uncles, and Bompie, and other random things like juggling. But the trip is not a smooth one! Sailing out onto the ocean blue isn't as whimsical as Sophie thought it would be, and they run into a lot of problems. Luckily, she has her family and they always support one another.  The story is actually told in alternating points of view of Sophie and one of her cousins named Cody. Update on Favorite Books series

Hello! This is a bit of a different post. If you've been on my blog long enough, you might remember a few months ago I started a series called "Favorite Books of All Time" , where I just listed off books that I read and love. I did it every month. There are 6 total parts which you can view here (takes you to the navigation page). Some of you might have noticed that I didn't post one last month. I am not posting one this month, either. In fact, I think I might pause on doing a Favorite Books post for a really long time.  This is because the posts took a long time to make. I would have to sift through my spreadsheets of all the books I have read and rated highly. It was a lot of them. I also tried to share 12 books every time, which also felt like a lot of work to me. A Song For You and I Review

A Song for You and I by Kay O'Neill is about Rowan, who is an apprentice nature ranger. They get assigned to watch some fields. If they are successful at their task, they will get their name carved on the door of the academy they go to.  Everyday on Rowan's fields, there are some sheep that like to come and graze there. Also every day there is another person named Leone who likes sitting and playing violin music for the sheep. But one day as Rowan tries to rescue Leone from an intense thunderstorm, their winged horse Kes gets her wing injured. As they wait for Kes's wing to heal, Rowan and Leone start getting to know each other better as they hang out more everyday and run errands together.  Well, it's not a very long story and I don't want to tell you too much, so you'll have to read the book to see how everything turns out!
