Underrated Books Part 19

 I haven't made one of these in several months! But here's part 19. You can look for previous parts in the Navigation page. 

1. Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour-Emi, an aspiring movie set designer, and her best friend Charlotte, track down and find the grandaughter of a famous Hollywood actor named Ava. After they meet and work together on Emi's movie, they fall in love.

2. A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Barnard-Steffi has selective mutism and communicates mostly in sign language. She falls in love with the new boy in her school, named Rhys, who is deaf. Steffi is then able to feel more comfortable with who she is and find her place in the world.

3. Ferris by Kate DiCamillo- Our main character named Ferris has an unforgettable summer with her friends and family, mostly involving a supernatural mystery with her grandmother.

4. The Very Last of the Great Whangdoodles by Julie Andrews--yes, another book by the famous actress (the first one I shared was Mandy). This is a urban fantasy novel about three siblings and an eccentric professor venturing to a magical land to find the last Whangdoodle--a creature now considered mythical.

  OMG! I think I found my true favorite Sharon Creech book of all time! Bloomability is now at the number two spot. The Wanderer is about thirteen year old Sophie, who goes on a sailing trip with her two cousins and three uncles across the Atlantic Ocean to meet her grandfather, Bompie, in England. They make a lot of pit stops along the way to get their boat fixed and to pick up more supplies. Sophie and her cousins also learn a lot along the way: about sailing, stories about each other, their uncles, and Bompie, and other random things like juggling. But the trip is not a smooth one! Sailing out onto the ocean blue isn't as whimsical as Sophie thought it would be, and they run into a lot of problems. Luckily, she has her family and they always support one another.  The story is actually told in alternating points of view of Sophie and one of her cousins named Cody. Update on Favorite Books series

Hello! This is a bit of a different post. If you've been on my blog long enough, you might remember a few months ago I started a series called "Favorite Books of All Time" , where I just listed off books that I read and love. I did it every month. There are 6 total parts which you can view here (takes you to the navigation page). Some of you might have noticed that I didn't post one last month. I am not posting one this month, either. In fact, I think I might pause on doing a Favorite Books post for a really long time.  This is because the posts took a long time to make.
