JUNE WRAP-UP

So here are all the books I read last month! I read a total of 8 books.

  1. Witch Hat Atelier Volume 8 by Kamome Shirahama-Well, this is obviously a sequel that is several books into the story. All I can say is it's still a masterpiece. 5 stars
  2. You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson-a YA contemporary novel about a girl named Liz who wants to go to a prestigious college to be in their orchestra and then go to medical school. But she didn't get the financial aid she applied for, so she decides to join the race to become prom queen and get a scholarship. She falls in love with another one of the contestants, a girl named Mack. 5 stars
  3. Witch Hat Atelier Volume 9 by Kamome Shirahama-The reason this one got half a point off was because of one chapter I didn't read in this book. But there was a content warning in the beginning and it even said you didn't have to read that chapter in order to understand the rest of the story. Other than that, great sequel! 4.5 stars
  4. Witch Hat Atelier Volume 10 by Kamome Shirahama- again, I loved it. I am looking forward to volume 11, whenever it comes out! 5 stars
  5. Sheets by Brenna Thummler- YA graphic novel of an unpopular girl named Marjorie who runs her family's laundromat, and befriends a ghost after the ghost scares away a shady businessman who wants to tear down her family business. 3 stars
  6. Bone Volume 7 by Jeff Smith- great sequel. That is all you need to know. 5 stars
  7. Bone Volume 8 by Jeff Smith- I can't believe this is the second to last book! I will be reading the last volume this month. 5 stars
  8. Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan- a YA fantasy novel inspired by Chinese folklore. Xingyin is the daughter of the moon goddess, Chang'e, and her mother has been imprisoned by the Celestial Emperor for drinking an immortality elixer that was meant for Xingyin's father, a mortal who slayed a bunch of sunbirds. When the Celestial Emperor senses Xingyin's magical powers, she decides to go out into the world and find a way to save her mother from imprisonment. She ends up befriending Liwei, the Celestial Kingdom's prince, and Wezhi, a captain of the Royal Army, and becomes a skilled archer in the army. 5 stars

Well, it seems like I had a mostly positive reading month!
