I hope you add some of these to your TBR! Or I hope you've already read some of them.

1. Frenchman's Creek by Daphne du Maurier-a noblewoman named Dona St. Columb has grown disillusioned with her high-class lifestyle and decides to escape to the countryside. While there, she meets a handsome French pirate and his crew. She decides to join his crew and go on a little pirate adventure, which causes some drama back home.

2. The Big Adventures of Majoko manga series by Tomomi Mizuna-a cute and magical slice of life manga series about a witch named Majoko and her new human friend named Nana. I should note that this series is mostly out of print now and copies are hard to find, and the few you do find on Amazon and eBay are usually very expensive. Although some of the volumes are somewhat reasonably priced on thriftbooks.com. I was able to read this whole series as a kid because my local library had the series, but they got rid of them a while ago. Hopefully one day this series gets rereleased!

3. The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster- classic portal fantasy book of a boy named Milo who has become bored with his life but one day everything gets turned around when he finds a magical tollbooth in his room and enters through it. He finds a world filled with charming creatures, lots of puns, and lots of references to reading, science, and math. Milo learns that learning can be fun!

4. Bloomability by Sharon Creech-Dinnie and her family have never stayed in one place for too long. Then one day her aunt and uncle come and decide to take her to attend an international boarding school in Switzerland her uncle became the headmaster of. There she makes so many new friends and learns so many new things she never knew about the world outside her immediate family bubble. She also finally has a stable group of friends, something she's always desired. This is my personal favorite Sharon Creech book!
